The fall of Grindlewald had set the Wizarding World at peace once more thanks to the efforts of Albus Dumbledore and a small band of people wishing to fight the good fight. That same band of people would be brought forth from the ashes in the future to fight a budding threat…or that would have been the case. You see though that isn’t how this story goes. Voldemort’s rise to power was much different here.
Tempered with wise council Tom Riddle came to the decision that taking the Wizarding world over by terror was not as wise as winning them over from within. After all, the old adage went you caught more flies with honey than vinegar. At twenty-five the charismatic young man has made quite a name for himself. The Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic himself Tom has been master behind the puppet for two years now. The time has come to cut the strings though, to let the truth be known of who is behind all the good being done.
There are those though that think ill of all the good being done. There are those like the wise old Albus Dumbledore that knows what truth lies in the heart of Undersecretary Riddle. It has yet to be seen how the cards will be laid out, though.
Power Corrupts is a Riddle Era Alternate Universe Harry Potter Role Play set in 1951. Voldemort was a name barely mumbled among trusted friends these days and Tom Riddle is the master behind the thrown. There is change on the horizon though and it is anyone’s guess how things will turn out in the end.

Well it is official I just left BW. I loved the game but due to recent events I just couldn't see myself staying. I met some wonderful and beautiful people there though and I love all of you dearly. I just shouldn't loath signing into journals at a place wondering what has happened now. I'm such a doom cookie, I know that but it is how my mind works and once that is ingrained there isn't any getting it out. If any of the people I played with want to continue our lines in PSLs just let me know I generally have no problem with that. Bri and Beth and I already have one in fact LOL.
I have wrote more in this thing in the last two days then the past three months. Oh well.

I go to work and the RP world falls apart what the frag man. I am going to work on my new app at Consecro and work on PC. Not sure if any of you lovelies would be interested but I am working on a Riddle Era AU Game where Tom is about to become Minister of Magic. Alex is helping me because she is awesome on a major scale. Aine is in it and I think I talked Beth into it. Aine and I have had Rosa and Abigail for I think years now. You can't go wrong with the two main advisors behind the scenes for Tom.
I think I am going to take a step back from BW right now until the smoke clears a bit. I just don't have the nerves right now for whatever it is that I came home to.

So all my HP muses had died. All except for the one that never dies because Helga is a tenacious girl and I never get to play her anyway. I am randomly poking around and find a game and join it. I see it is run by an old RP buddy and I'm all "oh why not!" that spawns me looking at the other game almost every player in that game is in. Crack Games have always been a weakness. Before I know it muses are popping up but no old favorites. Well...Harry is an old one but Harry is hit or miss with me and I couldn't pass up playing Harry in a game where he has abandonment issues and his three kids are there when he is 16. Also my Rita muse is amusing. I think I am finally getting the feel of RPing HP again.
On a completely other note...bleh! Two months since mom passed and I started randomly crying today.

There are people in our lives that light our world and my mother was one of those people. She never met a stranger. She was abrasive at times but you always knew where you stood with her her only true failing was how honest she truly was. She was a smiling laughing gift to my world. She was my fan club and my example of what a strong compassionate woman should be.
If how well you lived your life is measured in the people you touched while you were here she had one damn fine life. She treated every friend I ever had like they were one of her own and the depth and breadth of what that woman meant to me there just aren't words. There is always going to be a piece of my heart missing because of her absence.

I spent most the day with Redd and it was great fun! We watched a few episodes of Torchwood because I finally broke down to watch it with her. The only thing it did was make me miss Dalton. It is a good show and I liked it but with working at a comic shop and watching that I miss my super suit wearing Southern Gent.
My HP muses are wilting. No matter the game it always happens and I'm not sure why. I think I just need to stop RPing it. It isn't fair for me to get entrenched in a game and just have my muses go belly up. I have sat down to write for my Albus six or seven times now and he just isn't coming. The same goes with Medea. I had to force their last journal entries and I think me forcing myself to write them is killing my inspiration for my other games I am in...that and my writing for them sucks right now because it is so forced.
So I am saying it now. If I end up bowing out of my current HP game I am hanging up the genre for good. I have had some good times writing it but I think our love affair is over.
And if my power would stop going out I could totally get done with Gail's icons she requested!
